Claire Burton MBACP
I believe we are all experts of our own lives - however, sometimes we can lose that feeling of being in control. In the counselling room, the space is yours to explore your path and bring clarity and self awareness to difficult situations, both past and present. When we embark upon this journey, it is led by you, in an environment that I hope provides you with safety and confidence to explore whatever it is you wish, knowing that it is confidential and yours to use however you need.
I am a registered member of the BACP and follow their code of ethics to ensure I am supporting you on your journey in a safe and therapeutic way. I work using an integrative approach which means the sessions are led by you, for you to get what you need from them - I am merely here to support.
I have experience working with a diverse range of presenting problems including: depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, eating disorders, gender identity, trauma, loss, abuse, addiction, and other areas.
I have experience of working with neurodiversity within the counselling room and will help you to understand your neurodiversity, how it affects you and make any accommodations to the session to ensure it is as accessible and supportive as possible.
